A Welcome from the Principal
of Windsor Piano School
A personal welcome from Edita Stankeviciute, Principal and Founder of Windsor Piano School, serving students from Windsor, Slough and across Berkshire for more than 18 years.
A Personal Welcome
Dear Students, Parents and Music Lovers,
Welcome to Windsor Piano School, the heart of musical learning in Berkshire. For more than 18 years, our mission has been to bring high-quality music education and a genuine love of music into the lives of students of every age and level.
Having spent more than 30 years teaching, performing and leading music education, I founded Windsor Piano School to provide students with the structured tuition, individual attention and genuine encouragement that allow musical ability to flourish.
The school has grown significantly over the years, but our central values have remained unchanged. Every student deserves a teacher who understands their personality, recognises their potential and helps them progress with confidence.
Windsor Piano School is registered with the UK Register of Learning Providers and brings together a team of highly qualified teachers across piano, violin, guitar, drums and singing.
Our teaching is not limited to preparing students for weekly lessons. We develop technique, musicianship, creativity, independence and confidence through a clear and carefully structured learning pathway.
Every student who has taken an examination with Windsor Piano School has passed, with 73% achieving Distinction or Merit across more than 3,009 exam entries.
As an official ABRSM Private Visit Centre, we host practical examinations on site three times each year. Students can therefore take their examinations in familiar surroundings, using the room and piano they already know.
Our students are also encouraged to perform regularly through recitals, festivals and competitions. These experiences help them develop resilience, stage presence and the confidence to share their music with others.
We are proud of our record in music scholarship preparation, including successful applications to leading schools such as Eton, Westminster and St Paul's. We are equally proud of every beginner who plays their first complete piece and discovers the satisfaction of genuine progress.
Windsor Piano School has also received the Distinguished Teaching Award, distinguishing us among 146 music studios and schools. This recognition reflects our continuing commitment to excellence, professionalism and individual care in every lesson.
One of our most celebrated students, Harvey Lin, reached the BBC Young Musician finals in both 2016 and 2020. His achievement demonstrates what dedicated teaching, disciplined practice and sustained musical encouragement can make possible.
Whether you are choosing a first instrument for your child, returning to music as an adult or working towards advanced examinations and performances, you will be welcomed into a school that takes both musical standards and personal enjoyment seriously.
We look forward to welcoming you to Windsor Piano School and supporting every stage of your musical journey.
