Elena Toponogova is a concert pianist with extensive teaching experience working with both children and adults of varying levels.
Elena has been enjoying teaching since 2006. Her goal has always been to inspire, encourage and help her students to develop their technical and musical skills and help them enjoy the process of working and performing.
Elena herself started playing piano at the age of seven and participated in countless concerts, masterclasses, competitions and festivals. She got her first degree at the Academic Tchaikovsky Music College where she adopted traditions of widely celebrated Russian piano school. She graduated with distinction and was certified as a piano teacher, accompanist and a chamber ensemble artist. Most recently, Elena received a Master of Performance degree from the Royal College of Music in London, studying under Norma Fisher. During the academic years, Elena worked with a number of other prominent pianists and teachers including Dirk Mommertz, Grigory Gruzman and Irina Chukovskaya. Elena’s studies were kindly supported by the Norah Seary Trust, Altrusa Careers Trust, the Future of Russia Foundation and Tsukanov Family Foundation.
Elena performs as a soloist and chamber musician in venues across the UK, Germany, and Russia. She appeared in popular venues including Rachmaninov Hall of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and Amaryllis Fleming Hall, London.
